After being a freelance digital marketer for several years, I decided to work as a Support Engineer at Yoast to continue my passion for helping more people solve their problems using technology.

I am a BS Computer Science graduate from the University of the Philippines Cebu. I worked as a programmer for six months but eventually decided to become a digital marketer after realizing that I don’t want to live the rest of my life writing code. (Yes, I can still definitely read and write a few lines, if needed.)

Yes, I learned the fundamentals of digital marketing, including SEO and social media marketing, by consuming a lot of online content: watching videos, reading articles, and attending courses. It’s already part of my habit to continue learning more each day.

I started scribbling my thoughts on WordPress back in 2008 when I was still in high school but didn’t know much about blogging then. I maintain several WordPress blogs, including a website written in Cebuano language that promotes Filipino arts and culture.

Outside of work, I volunteer at Cebu WordPress Meetup and Google Business Group Cebu to help more WordPress users and entrepreneurs find online success as my way of giving back to the community.

During my free time, I love to write literary content, travel to unknown places, and hang out with my awesome friends here in Cebu, Philippines.
