The Yoast and Elementor partnership: building easy and SEO-friendly websites together

Today, we’re launching the result of a great collaboration: the Yoast SEO plugin now seamlessly integrates with the Elementor page builder! We’re really excited about this integration. It means that millions of WordPress users can now easily build a page with Elementor and optimize its content with Yoast SEO. To make this happen, we’ve partnered up with the creators of the Elementor page builder.

For a long time, Yoast SEO and Elementor gave a subpar experience when used together. As of today, this has changed. Now you can finally use all Yoast SEO features to fully optimize the page you’ve created with the Elementor page builder! Read all about it in our Yoast SEO 15.4 release post.

Why Yoast and Elementor?

Both Yoast SEO and Elementor power a vast amount of WordPress sites. In 2020, Elementor crossed the five million active WordPress installs, while Yoast SEO crossed eleven million. This puts both plugins firmly in the top five most popular WordPress plugins in the world.

As Yoast, our mission is to make higher rankings possible for everyone. And we figured that if we partnered up with Elementor, the leading website builder platform on WordPress, we can make Yoast SEO work for many more WordPress users. Doing so, higher rankings might become a reality for lots of website owners world-wide!

While we make reaching the top of the search results achievable for everyone, Elementor makes building a website easier for everyone. Together, we can help millions of people achieve their dream of a successful business by helping them with an easy-to-build and high-ranking website.

What does the integration look like?

You’re probably wondering what this Yoast SEO Elementor integration looks like. If you edit your post in Elementor, you’ll find the Yoast SEO sidebar on the left-hand side of the Elementor editing screen:

You’ll find Yoast SEO in the left hand sidebar of the Elementor editing screen

Here you’ll find all Yoast SEO features like the SEO and readability analysis and the Google preview, as well as the option to get related keyphrases with SEMrush. But also Yoast SEO’s premium features, such as Internal linking suggestions, the option to set synonyms and related keyphrases, and the social previews can be found in this sidebar.

First off I would like to say terrific blog!
I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.

I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I’ve had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or
    tips? Many thanks!

Hi, Carroll. Thanks for your comment! I know the feeling, it can be difficult to start right away. It might help to start by writing down the purpose of your text, the audience you want to write for and the main question you want to answer in your text. Some preparation makes it easier to put that pen to paper :) We have a step-by-step guide on how to write a blog post that can help you with that. Hope this helps and good luck!

I want to ask a question on another topic. I have a blog, its archive pages, tags, categories are getting indexed in google search results. However, I have already set these things to noindex from Yoast Search Appearance setting.

Hi there, Milind! It might take some time for the page to disappear if you’ve recently changed this. Also, this article might be able to help you:

I’m excited about this! I love both platforms, but I always wondered if my site suffered because I could only use Yoast in WordPress, so my blog body wasn’t getting any love.

Does this integration happen with the free version of Elementor and the free version of Yoast?

    • Edwin Toonen
Edwin Toonen  • 4 years ago

Hey Melani. That’s great to hear. We are excited as well. And yes, the integration works both in the free versions of Elementor and Yoast SEO.

I created my website via Wix because of the vast creative templates that they have. But in order to have a good SEO on my site, WordPress would be a good fit as a start-up. I hope to make my own site through it in the coming weeks. Thank you for sharing this!
