Use snippet variables for uniformity
Snippet variables can be used to automate certain processes on your site. This way, all your content will use the same custom template. You can also set variables for the SEO title and meta description in your content previews. The default settings are often a good fit for any site, but you can always adapt them to your liking using snippet variables!

We also offer a social share preview that shows how your content will look when shared on social media. You can see right away if your image fits and whether your title and description will display well. This way, you’ll see exactly what your potential visitors see! It’s the perfect opportunity to optimize your content, which then hopefully leads to more clicks.

Elements you get complete control over
SEO title
The SEO title is the title of your page that people will see in Google’s search results. You can set a template for these titles that uses the same elements each time or use AI Generate. However, if you want to fine-tune something, you can edit the SEO title per page in the Google preview. It also gives feedback on the length of your title.
Meta description
The meta description is the text shown in search results. Although it’s just a few sentences, this text should reflect your page and entice people to click through. Take the time to write this and use AI Generate if you need some help. The Google preview also shows you when your description is the optimal length for search engines.
Slug
The slug is the part of a URL that identifies a particular page on a website. You can optimize your slug in the Google preview. Make sure your slug is as short as possible, but include the most essential words and focus keyphrase. A short slug is easier to share, and including the keyphrase will help Google and users identify the page’s topic.
Favicon
Do you see the little icon in your browser tab? It’s a tiny, square image that represents a website. They are important for your branding because Google shows them in the search results. You can find your favicon in the top left corner of the Google preview. If it’s not showing there, make sure to add your own favicons in WordPress.
Emojis
Emojis are an indispensable tool for online communication. The Google preview lets you add emojis to your titles and meta descriptions. Just click the button and search through the library! If they fit your brand, emojis can make your content stand out in the search results. But remember to add them in moderation!
The overall look
The Google preview mimics how search engines display your page in the search results. You can see whether your SEO title and meta description are fully displayed or cut off. Although it’s a simulation and we can’t fully control what Google shows, optimizing your snippets is the only way to have some control.
