How to activate The Events Calendar integration in Yoast SEO
You might know that Yoast SEO outputs a Schema graph for your pages. Long story short, this graph helps search engines understand your content better. And if they understand your content better, you have a higher chance of getting rich results. The Events Calendar integration in Yoast SEO helps you get rich results for your events too. Let’s see how that works.
The Events Calendar Schema
For most pages, the Schema code Yoast SEO outputs is all you need. However, if you want to add Event
Schema, things work a little differently. We’ve partnered up with The Events Calendar, a free plugin that helps you create and manage events on your WordPress site. We’ve given them an API, so they can add their Event
Schema to our graph. So, if you’re using The Events Calendar to create events, that plugin integrates with the Yoast SEO Schema API and makes sure the Event Schema is added to our Schema graph, and ties in properly.
How to activate The Events Calendar integration
OK, but how do you activate this integration? Well, if both The Events Calendar and Yoast SEO are installed and activated on your site, then the integration works automatically. You don’t have to do anything.
