In addition to his local efforts, Arslan was a table lead at WordCamp Lahore in 2023, teaching contributors how to translate WordPress into local languages. Hi, Arslan! What do you do?

I am a freelance WordPress developer offering various services, including website development, design, SEO, and maintenance. I help clients enhance their online presence through effective WordPress solutions. In addition to my freelance work, I am an active contributor to the WordPress community, supporting various projects and initiatives. I also lead and participate in WordPress events and contribute to different WordPress teams.

Why do you think that you got nominated?

I was nominated due to my extensive and diverse contributions to the WordPress community. My involvement includes earning badges in numerous roles, such as Core Contributor, Accessibility Contributor, and WordCamp Speaker. I have made a significant impact through my leadership as a table lead at WordCamp Lahore 2023 and WordCamp Islamabad 2023, where I taught contributors how to translate WordPress and discussed building communities and contributing to open source. These efforts and my ongoing commitment to guiding and supporting others likely contributed to my nomination.

What does WordPress look like in your perfect world?

In my ideal vision, WordPress remains a powerful, inclusive, and collaborative tool that fosters creativity and innovation. I envision a thriving community where contributors from diverse backgrounds work seamlessly together to enhance WordPress’s capabilities and accessibility. The platform would be a learning, sharing, and growth hub with robust support systems for contributors at all levels.

Who is your WordPress mentor?

My WordPress mentor is Muhammad Kashif, who introduced me to WordPress and played a crucial role in my journey. His insights and encouragement helped my brother and I use WordPress to transform our lives and careers. His support has been fundamental in shaping my contributions and active involvement in the WordPress community.
