WordPress core developer

You’re an experienced WordPress core contributor and you’d like to spend 100% of your working time on WordPress core itself? We might want to hire you!

WordPress Core contributions by team Yoast

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a developer that can carry a project on his/her own. Projects being bug fixes in WordPress but also new features that might require a “feature as a plugin” project.

Because we’re quite ambitious in the things we want to do, intimate knowledge of WordPress core and its contribution process are required. Basically, you should already have several patches merged in core and should have shown that you’re able to find your way in the community.

The deal

We’ve got several projects in WordPress core that we’d like someone to focus on, which we outlined in this post. We’d like you to spend a minimum of 50% of your time on core projects we agree on (these can be your own ideas too, don’t have to come from that post), and the rest of your time on other contributions to WordPress core or upstream projects. Or you can work with us on our plugins. Regardless, we’ll pay for 100% of your time.

If you want to, you’re more than welcome to come and work in our office in Wijchen, the Netherlands. If you don’t want to, that’s fine too. This is one of the few positions where we don’t require you to be in office for a minimal amount of time.
