Google Analytics Install Guide

Do you want to install the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin by Yoast? This guide will tell you how!

The first thing you have to do, is log in to your WordPress website. When you’re logged in, you will be in your ‘Dashboard’. On the left-hand side, you will see a menu.

In that menu, click on ‘Plugins’. ‘Plugins’ will be highlighted in the menu and you will be shown the plugins you have installed so far.

Now click ‘Add New’ and type ‘yoast google analytics’ in the search bar, as shown below:

When you’ve typed that in, click the ‘Search Plugins’ button. This will give you a page of search results. Our plugin will be on top there. Click the ‘Install Now’ link to start installing our plugin, as shown below:

Be sure to click on ‘OK’ on the popup. After that, you will be shown the following screen. Click ‘Activate Plugin’, as shown below:

Next you will probably notice the messages at the top of your screen:

As shown above, click the text link, which will take you to the Google Analytics plugin settings page:

As shown, click the ‘Click here to authenticate with Google’ button. You’ll be taken to a Google login page. Use the account you use for your Google Analytics, and sign in. Next, you will see this page:

Click the ‘Grant access’ button and you’ll be done! If you have more websites in your Google Analytics account, be sure to select your website in the dropdown list.

And you’re done! Google Analytics for WordPress by Yoast is now installed and running!
