If you’re already a premium user, you need to renew your license to get access to Yoast SEO Academy. This means you’ll add time to your already existing subscription. We understand that this may be annoying, especially if you’ve only recently renewed. The reason we’re doing it like this is very simple: our e-learning systems can’t handle giving every one of our hundreds of thousands of existing customers access all at once.
How to renew:
Log into your MyYoast account, on your account page, click “Manage” for the subscription you want to extend, and then click “Extend subscription with a year”.

Hi Casey. You get access to the Yoast SEO academy for the duration of your subscription. If that should lapse, you will keep your account but only have access to the freely available courses in Yoast SEO academy.

I cannot afford to pay another subscription to get seo academy.
Very unfair if a faithful existing customer gets to miss out.

If you decide to renew your subscription it will be prolonged for an extra 12 months, on top of the months you have left.

Hello, thank you for the offer. Does one need to buy a new licence for every new site? What if you are an agency? Also, does one still have access the courses after the year is over?

Hi Dante. Yes, licenses are per site. You can buy as many as you want and the more you buy at once, the bigger your discount will be. As long as you have a Premium subscription you have access to the courses. Of course, our free courses are available at all times.

Hi Torben. Because of the merge, we had to make a few changes in the back-end of our systems. One of the things we had to put on hold for the time being is the enrollment feature. At the time, it’s not possible to enroll other people. But don’t worry, we’re working on a new and improved way of handling this. Unfortunately, I don’t have a date when this will go live.

Yes… unfortunately, our Yoast SEO Academy systems (and our support-team) couldn’t handle giving all of our customers access right away.
If you renew now, you’ll get access to the courses and your subscription will be prolonged with 12 another months (on top of the months you have left on your subscription now).

This feels like an excuse. Because if all your existing users went and paid for additional years of subscriptions today, I’m sure you wouldn’t have a problem accommodating them. Like John, I only recently purchased my subscription to Premium and now also have to wait until I renew. I’ve done all the free classes already and enjoy your training videos. And this is a generous benefit that should make me happy and feeling great about Yoast. Because of this implementation, however, I am left feeling like I should not have been so enthusiastic about the product. If I hadn’t, I’d have gotten more for my money.

I get where you coming from. We in fact would have a problem if everybody would update today… but I don’t think I will be able to convince you here.
I do want to emphasize that if you decide to renew, you’ll get the extra 12 months on top of the time you have left on your current subscription.
