Really cool presentation, I love all this talking about getting your visitors to keep on comming back, to interact with them … I supose it much easier if you have a kind of normal blog, plain articals … but what about SEO for photoblogs ? Some of the things you talk about really work instantly, like changing your permalinks (you get a much better ranking in Google), total cache, really speeds up your page loads, certanly with pictures (I’ve appreciate your tip on this one) … But again how to put all this in action for a photoblog ? Do you have any experiance with that ?

    GREAT presentation!

I know Google says they’re paying more attention to speed now, but very interesting how much emphasis you have placed on website speed.

Yoast. I noticed you’re a big Mac guy…awesome! However, when questioned about determining resource load times you made mention of only Firebug and not Safari’s Web Inspector. Do you think Firebug is better than Safari’s Web Inspector for SEO and developement? I’ve used both and I like Firebug’s live tweaking to source code, but Safari has a very nice interface for resources. I haven’t been able to take advantage of
all functions, but was wondering what you thought about the pros and cons of both…from a SEO perspective.

BTW, while living in Ireland I tried to convert as many people as a I could to Mac.

An excellent presentation – thanks for letting us know about W3 Total Cache, as I hadn’t heard of it before and was still using WP Super Cache. Will update now!

Yoast, Eric is right. The volume is extremely low. If someone does not have powered speakers, forget it.
