Snagsta
One of the great benefits of becoming a bit better known in the SEO industry is that you get to work with the hip and the cool people in the web 2.0 space. The guys at snagsta, a social recommendation site, one of whom I met last year at A4Uexpo, have a pretty good concept which they are currently developing, involving lists, lots and lots of really cool lists.
I'm involved in the project as an SEO, of course, but they do pose cool and sometimes not so easy to answer questions about social media marketing, web analytics, using video's etc. Basically you all should go and see their current, very funny, pre-alpha site, and I'll keep you updated about it when it goes live!

LOL, eloquently executed. And nowt wrong with their trousers, BTW ;)
This looks like an interesting concept. For snagsta to, for instance, simply find the hotels that like-minded people recommend, I'm thinking that they'll be demanding data from users? I might get paid fairly well but I'm always looking for cheap stuff, how will snagsta know that?

Hi Joost,
You said before you were going to start doing sponsored reviews on your site, how do we know now that everything you post isn't just paid for ?
IE: IS this post sponsored?
by Joost de Valk on 26 February, 2008 at 17:11
From my advertising page:
"Sponsored reviews will be marked as such, and links in these sponsored reviews will be nofollowed."
Nope, it isn't :)

Interesting and creative way to promote a business in a pre-launch situation. I enjoyed it! I can't wait to learn more about them as the weeks pass by.

I will simply dropped by here for more other information..
But to be honest, it really made me excited for that site..
This was a good pre-launch campaign...

Very funny pre-alpha version:) The idea seems very interesting and it might actually work great! I'm looking forward to it!

Nice idea! Think something like this is really the future of searching.
Think our jobs as SEO will change for a great part, but I think search results like this will be great!
