Hey, being from California and moving to Munich this year I can see everyone has their head screwed on a little too tight. TO ask for a 5k drop of Euros for a conference or an Apartment for that matter is a flambastic way to say FU to the rest of the world. Go ahead and pay 8-9 Euros for every Mass you consume and flaunt your cash ridden Dusty old cap wearing online fiddutz to the rest of the world when Internet transimissions fail and so do your money making projects. I see SEO as a way to try to help people, ordinary people and of course marketing for yourself is a better strategy than someone else, if you have something viable in the bag. Yet what the hell are you going to do with the 50k for a 10 person conference? Why don't you look for ways to better the overall evolution of internet, show a video of your conference, include the busty Maedchen the guzzling heroics, the 1/2 haehnchen and general Tom Foolery, how this changed your SEO perspective and made you think like a human again and how you may have come up with a way to make something out of nothing but 10 guys at Oktoberfest. Of course between drinks you will be able to seriously get down and this might be beneficial for your egotistical expertise. But if you filmed the entire entourage with your admission fees, produced something good and thought about it you could distribute copies of your grandious time to the world for like $29.95 USD and stand to make 100k every year if its so ground breaking. Anyway, you could if made the impact you so desire, come back to the idea and then charge something more reasonable. Knowledge is not profit, it is for those who say this is what they do and they give two sh*ts about their effect. Now knowledge is the power for those who wish to grab it. Anyways, Ill be in the Augustiner tent after 6pm. I hope you have the time of your lives and stay safe but 5 g's c'mon Joost, most folks nowadays couldn't afford that if they sat next to Jesus and his wife, if they worked all year just to pay for an apartment here in Munich and afford a few Massen. I hope you know I wish I could go but, who knows me I am just an upandcomer before the crest of the wave.

What I meant are people talking about things they don't have a clue about. Anyways this networking and meeting THE people of the industry you cant attend too often. As far as I know there are some other top online marketers and SEOs in the pipeline...

Sorry Ricardo, I think you didn't get the point. It is not about hearing some second class self promotion presentations, get useless drunk and just attend some conference. Just think about the networking... These guys you will not meet often in your lifetime, specially not face to face.
Further, I think the topic will not only be about how to drop cookies but much more in detail + 1 year access to Black hat forums + 2h consulting session with Marcus and QuadsZilla and and and...

If you think the suite wearing agency monks will pass more knowledge, go to your conferences...

For 5kâ‚¬ you could go to the ASE Boston from anywhere in europe, get a full conference pass and get drunk there with other much more knowledged people (you know, AM is not only about cookie stuffing ;-) ). Then you could come back to the Oktoberfest and get drunk there and at some "exclusive" club in Munich and buy some bottles of vodka there to get a private table.

Like I said - it's retarted and exclusively reserved to officially retarded people.
