Cool new Rank Checker by SEObook
Aaron just pinged me that he has this great new Rank Checker available on SEOBook. I haven't tested it yet, but since it's Aaron's, it should be good anyway! Check out the video:

I installed it and after a short test it looks like it's working just as good as the many other great tools of Aaron, compliments!

This is a very handy tool. The other day I was looking for a free similar tool and didn't find any. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I saw that last night on YouTube. I'll have to check it out today. I was too tired last night after wrangling with WordPress to get non-idiotic categories working (no more 'Category Base').
Now I'm testing your Meta Robots WP plugin to make sure I didn't just break every other plugin last night by doing that. :)

Thanks Joost, saves a lot of time!
However, when I look up some Google.nl positions, they do seem to differ from a manual check-up. Sometimes in a positive way (2 instead of 3) sometimes in a negative way (24 instead of 18). I got cookies or any personal settings disabled. Anyone got an idea why?
I can think of two reasons:
1. Different datacenters for google.nl
2. I search with num=10, the tool with num=100 so some links that would be cut-off with num=10 are now re-included.
However, this doesn't explain a more positive ranking?!

Cool tool ; If you like this one, you might want to check out http://www.rankangel.com
Similar idea - it helps you track where your rankings site with Google/Yahoo/Live; I have found that RankAngel gives me a very accurate view of what human users would see when working in a browser (may of these ranking tools use a dev api that doesnt mirror the human experience).
You can also setup projects that retest your selected keyword/url/search-engine combinations - and it will graph the results. Very good for building a ranking profile.
And it's free :)
