Help me brand this blog!

This blog always goes by the name "Joost de Valk - SEO & webdesign blog", which kinda sucks of course... Why does it suck? Well: it's not brandable at all, and part of building a blog is building a brand. The "brand" in it right now is my name, which I don't mind of course, but I'd like to brand it a bit more. So what we need is a tagline, or a second name, or perhaps something else... I can't come up with anything, so I'm asking all my readers out there to be creative!

What's in it for you? Well, a blog wide link to start with,  your name and link on the, to be created, about page, and the right to use it as a reference in your "portfolio".

So think out of the box, and "create" something nicely brandable for me!

  1. Maybe you should just call it Joost (read: djoest ;-) or Joost SEO

  2. Joost, Joost, he's our man, if he can't do it no one can!

  3. Read Joost de Valk, rank better ;)

  4. "The “brand in it right now is my name, which I don’t mind of course, but I’d like to brand it a bit more."

Joost de Valk â„¢ (you know, just a little TM symbol)

BTW, it's quite interesting that you ask for a tagline with which you can develop your brand a bit more, without saying what the brand is you would like to target :)

(I didn't say I was good at this, did I?)

At least they are better than the one I had to use at http://netters.nl/nieuws-op-tijd-rss: "Joost de Valk - Searching for a tagline"....

  6. Hmmmmmmmmm... I guess you should use the Dutchyness of your name to your advantage.

"Just Joost. And a lot of SEO." or on the same fiets "A little bit of Joost and a lot of SEO".

  7. "Become Dutch. Rank better"
    "Joost. web developer TV"
"Joost. Better search results, more traffic for you but only one to market"

    Nah...

  8. I'd name myself webgorilla and start tailranking!

  9. what about something with "valk" in english, and put a j from joost in front of it? Like jhawk, j-falcon or thefalcon - seo statagies. You could leave 'the' away: falcon seo stratagies & webdevelopment.

Some variations for a brand name:
    jawk
    jalcon

    good luck! ;)

  10. Take a web2.0 style of name
    JstR
    haha..

no to be serious, branding a complete name is difficult, you really should think changing your name to more like a company name!

  11. no joost.com isent web2.0 i mis the beta sign ;)
oeps wrong, its in the menu haha.

But still, to keep on-topic, i should choose a cool name just like your webdesign company ;-)

  12. On the falcon theme:
"De Valk. A Sharp Eye for Search"
    "Sharp Eye for Search"
    "Sharp Eye on SEO"
    On the development theme:
    "Built to index"
    "Built to rank"
    "Build for search"

  13. Joost, the last comment dates May 4. Something came out of this? If not, here's my suggestion:

    Falcon-i-SEO

    (pronounce: falcon-eye-seejo -["bekt" geweldig, toch?])

    -Jos:)

  14. 'Cheesy' is good, isn't it? ;)

Falcon iSEO, I think it would be a good name for your blog, Joost..
