Google Analytics’ find function

Traffic sourcesIf you use my Google Analytics WordPress plugin, or just use another javascript to add extra search engines and refine the way Analytics tracks your search referrers, you can't see the figures for for instance Google's organic search as a whole anymore.

Unless of course, you do the following:

Go to All Traffic Sources, and type the following into your find box below the sources: google.* organic . You should now see something like this:

Analytics Find function

The figure in the top left of this picture is the total number of searchers coming through Google, and the % is also correct. Took me a while to figure out that I could do it like this, but now I'll just enable the extra search engines every where!

So Joost,
I've been struggling with understanding for what Google.* Referral stands for.
Do you have an idea?

Sorry, I found it already with a simple Google search, LOL.

"Not all referrals from Google.com domains come through organic search or AdWords ad listings. Referrals may come from a variety of sources, including Google Groups posts, base.google.com listings, or static pages on related Google sites. Such visits are tagged as [referral] instead of [organic] or [cpc]."

Cool, thanks for the info.

Do you know if it's possible to show graphs on a per month or per weeks basis rather than by day? It would be great if you could say...

@WP-design: not sure to be honest...
