5Trailing double forward slashes in URL's in the SERPs...
This query gives a result I hadn't seen before (image), the same page was indexed with both a single trailing forward slash, which is of course normal, and with a double trailing forward slash... This is of course a duplicate content issue, especially when people link to the double slash one by accident. The fix [...]

4Showing linkdata, but not PageRank
Barry over at Search Engine Roundtable covered my greasemonkey script for external links, and in the comments, Michael Martinez said:
Why in the world would anyone want to look at Toolbar PageRank with live link data from Google Webmaster's link tool? That's like saying, "Give me old, poisoned mayonnaise with my fresh turkey sandwich".
And this morning, [...]Continue reading: Showing linkdata, but not PageRank

38Google Webmaster Tools on steroids
I love Google Webmaster Tools, especially when it started showing external links. This link overview left me and quite a lot of other SEO's longing for more though, as we all wanted more info on that page. I have now created a Greasemonkey script to show the PageRank of the page linking to you, and [...]

Update to NoDirectory WP plugin
I've updated the NoDirectory plugin to use one robots meta tag instead of two when you want to display both NOODP and NOYDIR, that was a small error on my side.

2No Directory WordPress plugin
With Yahoo! introducing the NOYDIR tag to opt out of the title and description from the Yahoo! directory for your pages, I had to update my NOODP tag WordPress plugin to add the NOYDIR tag as well. In the process I added a small option screen to allow you to show either of the two, [...]

3Version 1.1 of the WordPress contact form
I've just put up a new version of the enhanced WordPress contact form, which adds spam protection (using a simple math question) and the option to show a "cc" option to the person e-mailing you. He will get a carbon copy of the e-mail, without the referrer information the contact form automatically sends along though.

9IP-delivery or cloaking: useful, but do you WANT to use it?
My friend Jaimie Sirovich sent me a chapter of his upcoming techy SEO book. More specifically, he sent me the chapter on cloaking, geo-targeting and IP-delivery. It's a fun read, and his example scripts are very, very complete and work nicely.
Of course you can have all sorts of debates on whether cloaking is a tactic [...]

6MSN Reporter...
SEW reports that MSN Reporter has gone live in Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway and states that it attracts a lot of visitors with some articles receiving up to 10,000 votes...
While I can't deny that it drives quite some traffic, it's still broken as hell, and those of you who are creative might want to [...]

FeedRoll
Today I finished up my work on FeedRoll, a site which offers a widget to show RSS feeds on your site. I've fixed several things on it, yet the most fun came today. There was a colorpicker on it before that only worked on Internet Explorer 5 and up, and nothing else... Now, those of [...]
